Sister Aloyse has been a Sister of Mercy of the Cincinnati Congregation for over 50 years. Her ministry has been in education with experience on the elementary and high school levels. After earning an elementary teaching certificate from the Association Montessori Internationale in Bergamo, Italy in 1972, she has worked as a Montessori teacher at Mercy Montessori in Walnut Hills and as a teacher-trainer for Xavier University. Sister Aloyse has spent three years in Johannesburg, South Africa where she helped open the first Elementary Montessori School in 1983. Since then she has returned to South Africa several times to train teachers in this method. A trained musician and published composer, Sister Aloyse is currently music director at Assumption Parish in Walnut Hills.
