John is an organizing member of the Tylersville Road Christian Church in Mason, Ohio. He served in Lay Ministry positions since 1981. In 2007, John was conferred Licensed Minister standing in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). John currently serves his home church as one of two Pastoral Care Ministers, and in Bethesda Hospitals as a hospital Chaplain. In 2004, John retired from the Blue Ash Police Department as the Captain/Assistant Chief after 34 years of service. He continues to publish and consult in that field, and performs project work for the Ohio Association of Chiefs of Police.
